What is Downy Mildew?

If you’re a grower of grapes, hops or cucurbits (cucumbers and the like), it is a dreaded fungal disease. If you listened to what was once called “college radio” in the early 90’s, it was a great band with an evocative name. Although the first type of Downy Mildew is to be avoided, the second type should be sought out and can be seen tonight at a special reunion show. They are playing at The Echo. (No relation to “this” Echo, just a great club and neighborhood institution in L.A.)
